Palm Care

I’m native to the tropical rainforests of Southern Mexico and Guatemala.

In nature, I grow beneath taller trees, so I love soft light and peaceful environments.

Besides adding a touch of elegance to your home, I also help improve indoor air quality.

I love bright and indirect light.

If your window gets strong sunlight, place me a few feet away.

If it faces north, I’m happy sitting right by the window.

Keep me away from direct sunlight, as it can burn my leaves.

Am I Thirsty? Alway check my soil before watering me.

If the top 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) feel dry, it’s time to give me a drink.

I usually need water every 7–10 days, although this may vary depending on the season.

💡 Remember:

Too little water = dry, brown leaves.

Too much water = unhealthy roots.

I feel my happiest in my ideal temperature between 65°F and 80°F (18°C–27°C).

I don’t enjoy cold temperatures or drafts.

💦 I Love a Little Humidity

When Should I Be Repotted? There’s no rush. I actually enjoy having my roots a little snug.

Small plants:    Every 12–18 months.

Larger plants:  Every 18–24 months.

When it’s time, choose a pot that’s only slightly larger than my current one.

🌱 Do I Need Fertilizer? Yes!

Feed me once a month during spring and summer with a fertilizer made for indoor plants.

During winter, I prefer to rest.

Here are some tips & tricks to help you keep me alive and thriving.

Although I adapt well to indoor living, I’ll appreciate it if you lightly mist my leaves from time to time, especially if the air in your home is dry.

🌿 Help Me Look My Best

Wipe my leaves with a soft, damp cloth.

Turn me every couple of weeks so I grow evenly.

While you’re at it, check my leaves for any unwanted pests.

🍂 If you notice my leaves are turning brown

I may be thirsty. Or I may be getting too much water.

🌿 I’m growing tall and leggy

I need a little more light.

🕷️ If have tiny webs

Spider mites may have moved in.

Increase the humidity around me and check my leaves regularly.

Remember:
Always check my soil first before making any changes.

❤️ My Little Secret:

You don’t have to be a plant expert to take care of me.

Just pay attention to me.

I’ll let you know when I need water, more light, or a little extra care.

If you listen to me, we’ll enjoy many happy years together.

🌿 Thank you for giving me a home.
